Cityspace: Spaces to breath and reflect in the city of Edinburgh

Reflective space details

The Roof Terrace (National Museum of Scotland)

Description

The Roof Terrace, in the heart of the old town, provides peaceful and unusual 360º views of the buildings and hills of Edinburgh. It features artworks by Andy Goldsworthy and a selection of Scottish flora. You can access the space by lift and on the terrace you will find one or two benches - delightful on a sunny day. On a rainy day, there is a small area with big glass panels (but no seating) adjacent to the lift, where you can pause for several minutes looking out over the city.
