Cityspace: Spaces to breath and reflect in the city of Edinburgh

Event details

Quiet Days

Description

A time for reflection, creativity and silence. The day will start with tea/coffee, followed by a brief guided meditation, after which there will be a period of silence, until lunchtime. During the silence there are various interactive prayer stations for people to use if they wish. This pattern will be repeated after lunch. The end of the day will be
marked by a closing liturgy. Tea, coffee and cake is provided, but we ask that participants bring a packed lunch.

Additional information

This is our second year of running these days as a team, although we have each been organising quiet days for a number of years. We believe in the importance of giving ourselves permission to be still and quiet, so that we can begin to listen to what is really going on within us.
We believe that doing something different or creative can help us to do that, which is why the prayer stations are such a feature of our days.
Our programme is offered in association with the Epiphany Group.
